Full Job Description
The Saw Operator is responsible for safely and accurately cutting material to specified lengths using industrial saws. This role supports the production team by ensuring materials are prepared, measured, and processed according to work orders and quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: based on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM
Department:Â Production / Fabrication
Reports To:Â Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
Operate horizontal and/or vertical saw equipment safely and efficiently
Measure, mark, and cut materials according to job specifications
Read and follow work orders, drawings, and production schedules
Inspect materials for quality, dimensions, and accuracy
Perform daily equipment checks, basic maintenance, and cleaning
Use forklift or pallet jack to move material (if applicable)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy goals
Requirements
Experience operating industrial saws preferred
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
Ability to read blueprints or cut lists (preferred)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
Strong attention to detail and safety
Reliable with good attendance
