Full Job Description
The Horizontal CNC Mill Operator is responsible for operating horizontal machining centers, loading/unloading parts, maintaining quality checks, and ensuring machines run safely and efficiently during production.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: based on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM
Department:Â Machining
Reports To:Â CNC Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
Operate horizontal CNC mills according to work instructions
Load/unload parts and secure workpieces properly
Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.
Monitor machine performance and notify supervision of issues
Adjust basic offsets with guidance (if applicable to the role)
Deburr, clean, and prepare finished parts
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Requirements
CNC machine operating experience preferred
Basic understanding of blueprints and measuring tools
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
Good attention to detail and reliable attendance
Experience with horizontal machining centers a plus
