Full Job Description
The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently running CNC turning centers, loading parts, inspecting components, and ensuring consistent quality throughout production.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: based on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM
Department:Â Machining
Reports To:Â CNC Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC lathes according to work instructions
Load/unload parts and verify proper workholding
Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Make minor offset adjustments when required (if authorized)
Monitor tool wear and report issues
Deburr and clean finished parts
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Follow all quality and safety procedures
Requirements
Prior CNC lathe operating experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Basic knowledge of turning operations and tool wear
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance
