Full Job Description

The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently running CNC turning centers, loading parts, inspecting components, and ensuring consistent quality throughout production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: based on experience

Schedule: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM

Department: Machining

Reports To: CNC Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes according to work instructions

• Load/unload parts and verify proper workholding

• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Make minor offset adjustments when required (if authorized)

• Monitor tool wear and report issues

• Deburr and clean finished parts

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area

• Follow all quality and safety procedures

Requirements

• Prior CNC lathe operating experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

• Basic knowledge of turning operations and tool wear

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance
